Happy Birthday Mom and Amanda!

On Saturday I went to the movies with the aussie bunch :) Amanda met Deb from Canberra at the UP hotel and brought her along, she’s a marine biologist and here for a conference. Deb’s the first person I met here who could laugh about my T-Shirt from Sevilla (with the no aprobaré, aprobare... daisy count on it), as she went to study in latin america and has a nicaraguan husband. So we went for an italian dinner first with olive oil, bread and pizza :) As Deb went here four times already we had a lively chat about the culture ^^ With some future plans of the streetworkers to improve the situation and some motherly hints for Reece :)
Originally Reece wanted to watch the time traveller’s wife, but it wasn’t out yet, so he was in the wrong mood for The Hangover, but we others found it hilarious. Normally you can find the good scenes of comedy in the trailer already, but this time you could laugh the whole movie long :) so watch it if you can ^^ Seems that it’s a time for good movies now.

Then we elaborated our plans for going to Japan and trips inside of the Philippines. So Bernd and I are visiting my family when he comes here, then when Philipp arrives, we’re going one weekend to Bohol and one weekend to Palawan. And after the exams we’re flying to Osaka, take the overnight train or bus zu Tokyo, after some days go back to Kyoto, then Thomas and Amanda fly back again and I maybe stay some days in Osaka. The only thing we still have to do is book our flights^^

Tuesday we celebrated Amanda’s Birthday. We went to a really nice Italian restaurant in Eastwood (which you really can call a restaurant :). As we waited some time Thom ate all the bread with tomatoes, butter and „Leberwurst“ (everywhere it’s the same, the Germans are craving for food, the others can’t understand it^^). So before pizza, pasta and fruti di mare, it was gift giving time. As Amanda’s coming with us to Japan, Reece and Olive gave her a travelers guide for that and Thom and I gave her a scarf – so she never gets cold in the cinema again and a englisch-tagalog tale. Reece’s present was neatly wrapped (by fully booked :) and ours looked like we stole it from some people directly from the street, as it was a crampled SM bag *grins*

After a little rest at Thoms place we went to a Club in Partyviertel Timog/Tomas Morato Avenues (where you can find two of the biggest newscast companies, too ^^). I was relieved when Thom told me it’s a R’n’B not Technoclub, but as we came there they played more Techno – but the music improved after half an hour. In the club we met Jascha and some of his friends and Amanda made friends with a bunch of cultural dancers and a Philippine Comedian (sorry, we’re foreigners, we didn’t recognize him :P). And I discovered, that I like Red Horse more than San Mig Light, less sparkling and more smooth (Jascha I don’t have a headache yet :P).
And when the lights went on for our birthday-girl, we had an „Absacker“ at my place. After a nice morning shower, I was in bed at seven. Now me, the fan of sleeping needs to even out her sleep ^^
